📋 Description

• Lead and develop a geographically distributed Infrastructure team across the UK, India and APAC • Manage priorities, resources and delivery across projects, operations, incidents and escalations • Drive operational excellence across Azure, hybrid infrastructure, networking, storage, backup, monitoring, automation and resilience services • Lead critical infrastructure incident response, service recovery and continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure infrastructure services meet quality, security, governance and operational standards • Support cloud transformation, data centre exit, M&A integration and infrastructure modernisation programmes • Promote automation, service optimisation, FinOps and capacity management best practices • Collaborate with Security, IAM, Network Services, Helpdesk and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise priorities • Manage team performance, capability development and workforce planning • Report on delivery progress, risks, dependencies and operational performance • Lead infrastructure projects using Microsoft Azure, PaaS technologies, containerised platforms and emerging AI-enabled infrastructure capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading Infrastructure, Cloud, Platform Engineering or IT Operations teams in enterprise environments • Proven success managing geographically distributed teams, operational services and project delivery • Strong experience in resource, capacity, risk and dependency management • Working knowledge of Azure, hybrid infrastructure, automation, resilience, disaster recovery and service management • Leadership of remote and geographically distributed teams • Infrastructure delivery and operational management • Resource, project and capacity planning • Incident and escalation management • People leadership, coaching and performance development • Risk, dependency and stakeholder management • Continuous improvement and service quality focus • FinOps, optimisation and cost awareness • Strong communication and decision-making skills • Technical understanding of Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments • Relevant cloud, infrastructure, management or project delivery certifications desirable • Preferred experience managing global infrastructure or cloud engineering teams across multiple time zones • Preferred experience delivering infrastructure projects within fast-paced enterprise environments • Preferred experience leading teams through transformation, migration, data centre exit or M&A initiatives • Preferred experience improving service reliability, operational maturity and engineering practices • Preferred experience working with Security, Architecture, IAM and Operations teams • Preferred knowledge of FinOps, resilience, disaster recovery, backup and capacity planning • Preferred hands-on experience with Azure, automation and platform services • Preferred experience building high-performing, accountable and inclusive engineering teams
