• Equip the team with detailed technical requirements through a product backlog • Deliver products according to roadmaps aligned with Civica’s strategic goals • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to break complex business problems into simple, effective user stories • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical solutions meet product requirements and quality standards • Provide technical guidance and oversight for feasible, scalable, and maintainable solutions • Manage product backlogs and refine requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other team ceremonies • Triage and resolve product-related issues and coordinate bug resolution • Communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies • Make trade-off decisions with the Product Manager • Work with engineering, design, marketing, commercial, and customer success stakeholders • Analyse data and metrics to inform product decisions and measure product performance • Support knowledge sharing and product decision and design documentation • Gain insights into the Australian health insurance market and engage regularly with key clients and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Product Manager in a modern software or product organisation • Proven ability to create and manage product backlogs • Ability to write clear user stories with concise, detailed acceptance criteria • Ability to prioritise features, requirements, and tasks based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility • Competency in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions • Understanding of customer needs, pain points, and motivations • Strong analytical skills to collect, analyse, and interpret data • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities • Strong problem-solving skills • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban • Understanding of programming concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns • Knowledge of technical architecture, including system design, scalability, and performance optimisation
