📋 Description

• We're looking for a Mid Backend Engineer with solid experience in Java development to join our engineering team. • You’ll be instrumental in building and maintaining the backend services that support Clara’s financial products, collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure systems. • Your responsibilities will include: Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java (Spring, Spring Boot). • Implementing and consuming RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture. • Working with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases. • Integrating with event-driven systems using tools like Kafka and RabbitMQ. • Contributing to and improving CI/CD processes and DevOps practices. • Operating in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Participating in agile ceremonies and working in Scrum or Kanban teams. • Writing maintainable, testable code and conducting peer reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development with Java, ideally with Spring/Spring Boot • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working in microservices environments • Proficiency in data modeling with relational and NoSQL databases • Understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • Understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., TDD, BDD) • Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on code quality • Working proficiency in English and Spanish • Collaborative attitude and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment
