📋 Description

• Develop massively scalable solutions for complex data problems using CDP, NiFi, Spark, and related Big Data technologies • Work directly with customers to implement Big Data solutions at scale using Cloudera Data Platform and Cloudera Dataflow • Design and implement Hadoop and NiFi platform architectures and configurations • Perform platform installation and upgrades for advanced secured cluster configurations • Analyze complex distributed production deployments and recommend performance optimizations • Document and present complex architectures to customers’ technical teams • Collaborate with Cloudera teams to ensure successful consulting engagements • Drive customer projects to successful completion • Write technical documentation, blogs, and knowledge-base articles • Participate in pre- and post-sales processes and interpret customer requirements for sales and product teams • Keep current with Hadoop Big Data ecosystem technologies • Attend speaking engagements when needed • Travel across the EMEA region and multiple industries/customer organizations • Travel up to 30%

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in English, Spanish, and Italian • Eligible to work in the EU • 10+ years in Information Technology and System Architecture experience • 5+ years of Professional Services (customer-facing) experience architecting large-scale storage, data centre and/or globally distributed solutions • 5+ years designing and deploying 3-tier architectures or large-scale Hadoop solutions • Ability to understand Big Data use cases and recommend standard design patterns used in Hadoop-based and streaming data deployments • Knowledge of data management concepts including data warehousing, ETL, and data integration • Ability to translate customer requirements into technical requirements • Experience implementing data transformation and processing solutions • Experience designing data queries against HDFS data using tools such as Apache Hive • Experience setting up multi-node Hadoop clusters • Experience configuring LDAP/AD and Kerberos/SPNEGO security • Strong experience implementing software and/or solutions in enterprise Linux environments • Strong understanding of LDAP and/or Kerberos security solutions • Strong understanding of network configuration, devices, protocols, speeds, and optimizations • Strong understanding of the Java ecosystem, including debugging, logging, monitoring, and profiling tools • Familiarity with Bash, Python and/or Perl, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet • Experience architecting data center solutions and selecting server/storage hardware based on performance, availability, and ROI • Cloudera Software and/or HDP Certification (HDPCA / HDPCD) is a plus
