📋 Description

• Work within an Agile/Scrum team to contribute to delivery of CloudMargin SaaS applications • Own quality within the Scrum team, including testing strategy, automation and release-quality decisions • Set testing requirements and contribute to the wider CloudMargin Test community and Test Strategy • Write clear test plans for complex distributed architectures • Plan and coordinate testing activities so each iteration is safe to release • Build and maintain E2E and API automation with Playwright, including fixtures, parallelisation and trace-based debugging • Keep automated suites fast, deterministic and trusted while managing flakiness • Integrate automation into CI/CD quality gates for early, continuous feedback • Apply exploratory, regression, smoke, usability, security and performance testing • Own the go/no-go quality signal for releases • Experiment with and evaluate AI-assisted test creation and maintenance, reviewing and owning all output • Contribute to testing CloudMargin AI features, including evaluation of non-deterministic behaviour • Document test strategies, decisions and reasoning • Collaborate with engineers, product and technology leadership • Share testing practices and mentor teammates • Track test cases, results and defects in one place • Continuously improve tooling, processes and testing practice

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years or equivalent experience in software testing / QA • 2+ years or equivalent experience with web technologies • Hands-on E2E automation experience with Playwright, Cypress or a similar modern framework • Experience testing APIs and backend services using Postman, REST clients or similar • Exposure to AI-assisted development or testing tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Playwright MCP (desirable) • Experience in a regulated or financial-services environment (desirable) • Software testing techniques and methodologies including regression, smoke, exploratory, usability, security and performance • Ability to debug code and script in JavaScript / TypeScript • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and quality gates • Exposure to distributed systems and modern web hosting, particularly AWS • Knowledge of Agile manifesto and Scrum • Sound judgement on what to automate and when to keep a human in the loop • Proficient written and verbal communication • Passion for delivering high-quality software and continuous improvement
