Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge is a regional branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association that provides mental health services, crisis support (including promotion of the 9-8-8 crisis line), walk-in clinics, community programs, educational certificate courses, resources, and advocacy across the Haliburton, Kawartha and Pine Ridge areas. The branch delivers support for individuals and families, offers training and public education, coordinates fundraising and donations, and operates as a charitable non-profit organization serving local communities.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and initiatives that directly impact the mental health landscape in our community. • Help set the direction of CMHA HKPR’s programs and services, ensuring they align with our mission and the evolving needs of the community. • Engage with a diverse group of like-minded individuals, experts, and professionals, expanding your network and learning from others. • Hone leadership skills and gain valuable experience in governance, strategic planning, and decision-making. • Play a pivotal role in improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.

🎯 Requirements

• Commitment to the Mental Health of people in the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (HKPR) community • The ability to commit to attending monthly board meetings (in-person/virtual) plus participating in committee work requiring additional regular meetings • Brings diverse perspectives • Clinical Settings • Healthcare • Accounting • Information Technology • Leadership • Passionate community connector with fundraising experience • Has experience with Community based mental health • Satisfactory police records check and proof of receipt of full COVID-19 vaccine will be required
