📋 Description

• Design and build cloud-native, greenfield products • Own complex features and services from design through deployment • Write clean, efficient, testable frontend and backend code • Refine requirements and scope technical solutions with product managers, engineers, and QAs • Write unit, integration, and contract tests • Build, deploy, and monitor AWS services using Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions • Take responsibility for service health, performance, and maintainability • Participate in on-call or support rotas where appropriate • Evolve engineering standards through knowledge sharing and code reviews • Use DataDog for observability, monitoring, and production debugging • Improve development workflows with AI-powered tooling and automation • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers • Develop in an Agile environment using Git, Jira, and Confluence

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience (60 months minimum) • Strong focus on TypeScript, Node.js, and React • Excellent JavaScript fundamentals • Experience building and running production systems on AWS or Azure • Comfortable developing within an event-driven architecture • Experience with technical design and solution architecture for complex systems • Deep knowledge of automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) • Comfortable building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • Experience primarily using Terraform for code deployment • Degree, diploma or similar qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred • Ability to collaborate openly and take a pragmatic, product-focused approach
