📋 Description

• Oversee the Record to Report process for the Japan region, ensuring transaction efficiency and accuracy • Process bank transaction entries, including bank interest and bank charges • Perform daily cash flow budgeting • Maintain exchange rates and perform revaluation • Prepare closing reports, including ageing, bank reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, inventory, incentive, forex revaluation, and VAT reports • Prepare fixed asset registers and post fixed asset transactions • Prepare and post general accounting journal entries, including payroll, banking, inventory, withholding tax, accruals, deferrals, and prepayments • Reconcile general ledger, bank, prepaid expense, tax, and fixed asset accounts • Maintain General Ledger account master data • Perform month-end close, open periods, and year-end balance carry forward • Prepare monthly financial statements • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues • Update desktop procedures • Lead customer billing and collections efforts and resolve complex issues • Provide backup support for juniors and coach them on enquiries • Understand entity processes and support process improvement • Support audit activities

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting with relevant Record to Report experience • Multinational shared-services exposure, preferably in Asia Pacific countries • Japanese speaking ability required for clients served in Japan • Written and spoken English and Japanese communication skills; JLPT N2 and above • Mandarin speaking ability is an added advantage • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot, formula linking, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP • Microsoft Word proficiency • Ability to meet strict deadlines while producing quality output • SAP experience is an added advantage • Responsible, tactful, self-motivated, and able to learn • Ability to work under pressure during month-end close and provide ad-hoc support
