📋 Description

• Lead the development and management of key suppliers using advanced sourcing and end-to-end commodity management practices for assigned Direct Purchasing commodities • Drive cost optimization initiatives through competitive bidding, eAuctions, Electronic Catalogs, blanket contracts, commodity planning, opportunity assessments, business intelligence requirements, and advanced spend analytics • Own and exceed cost savings targets while leading process improvement initiatives and ensuring delivery against Key Performance Indicators • Oversee routing of low-value and emergency Purchase Requests with the remotely located Transactional Purchasing Services team • Act as a strategic partner to stakeholders by developing commodity expertise and defining sourcing strategies aligned with market conditions, pricing dynamics, and technology trends • Lead the full Purchasing Sourcing Process, including bid list strategy, RFQ development, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, sourcing approvals, and contract or purchase order issuance • Ensure sourcing, contracts, and Purchase Order transactions comply with Corporate Purchasing Policies and Procedures • Manage, mitigate, and resolve complex commercial issues and supplier risks to ensure business continuity and performance • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coordination support to other buyers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Procurement, Accounting, Business, and/or Engineering • Minimum 5 years’ experience in negotiating, sourcing, and managing contracts, with demonstrated ownership of complex procurement activities • Experience with Direct Purchasing (chassis tools) a plus • Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and SAP • Very good Verbal and Written English Skills (from C1 upwards) • Demonstrated advanced competence in negotiation and stakeholder management • High degree of organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines • High level of analytical ability where problems are complex and require strategic evaluation • Ability to travel as required
