📋 Description
• Confluent Solutions Engineers drive the technical evaluation stage of the overall sales process. • Be conversant with the current state and future roadmap of Kafka in open source. • Identify known issues and inform them of upcoming fixes or workarounds. • Responsible for clear articulation of Confluent’s technical and product positioning to a wide variety of business and technical stakeholders. • Forge strong relationships with them throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or relevant experience • Experience with technical sales of distributed systems, infrastructure software like databases, message queues, SaaS, or Big Data products • Some experience in Java or Python and familiarity with developing ETL applications • Exceptional presentation and communications capabilities. Confidence presenting to a highly skilled and experienced audience, including enterprise architects and C-level executives • Becoming a Trusted Advisor to key customer personas we engage with including Software Engineers, Architects and Technical Executives to drive platform consumption • Autonomously lead engagements with customers whilst working closely with Account Executive and other internal teams • Having an understanding of MEDDIC/MEDDPICC or similar frameworks used for qualification.
