📋 Description

• Actively manage the screening, evaluation, and pricing of high-complexity risks, including banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms. • Proactively market the firm's FI capabilities to major brokerage houses and leverage existing relationships to solicit high-quality new business submissions. • Act as a "referral point" for complex technical queries, providing expert judgment on policy wording, terms, and conditions to ensure profitability. • Work directly with executive leadership to refine the FI underwriting framework, risk appetite, and long-term growth strategies. • Represent the company at industry events and client-facing due diligence meetings to build the brand's presence in the specialty insurance market.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of technical underwriting experience specifically within the Financial Institutions sector (D&O, E&O, Fiduciary, etc.). • A demonstrated track record of building and maintaining a profitable book of business through active broker solicitation and negotiation. • Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional certifications relative to the position are a plus. • Expert-level ability to analyze complex financial statements and credit risk profiles. • Superior negotiation skills with the ability to structure creative solutions for non-standard risks. • Demonstrates a self-motivated "hunter" mentality with the ability to operate autonomously. • Tech-savvy, highly organized, great with data, and comfortable navigating MS Office, cloud based apps, and digital filing systems. • Asks probing questions and challenges conventional thinking to drive innovation. • Possesses a growth mindset, conducting independent research to deepen knowledge and solve complex problems. • Brings a collaborative, long-term mindset and operates with a high level of integrity.
