📋 Description

• Investigate, evaluate, and dispose of MPL and General Liability claims • Interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other parties for information • Document results of investigations and negotiations • Prepare reports to file on established diary dates • Secures records for case investigations • Determine and implement negotiation strategies • Timely adjust reserves and make recommendations to management • Communicate claims status to Claim Director and attend committee meetings • Evaluate cases for appropriate disposition and settlement amounts • Direct and monitor activities of defense counsel • Analyze and verify insurance coverage for claims

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university • R.N. or J.D. preferred • 3-5 years’ experience in clinical nursing and/or claims experience dealing with serious bodily injury • Knowledge of medical, legal and insurance terminology • Current driver's license • Strong written and oral communication skills • Training in contract/policy review and application • Comfortable making oral presentations to staff and insureds • Ability to synthesize complex information and design workflows • Insurance adjuster's license may be required for specific states • Ability to travel 25-30%
