📋 Description

• Act as Finance Manager for selected Group companies operating in Africa • Supervise and support local finance teams across multiple jurisdictions • Review management accounts, reconciliations, cash-flow forecasts, and financial reports • Monitor working capital, profitability, expenditure, receivables, payables, and cash requirements • Provide financial guidance to country managers, project managers, and operational teams • Travel regularly to Group operations to review performance, controls, compliance, and finance-team capabilities • Prepare monthly management reports and analyse performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods • Identify variances, risks, and trends and recommend corrective action • Assist with budgets, forecasts, financial models, and long-term business plans • Prepare financial information and presentations for Board, shareholder, and management meetings • Support tax, corporate compliance, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions • Review and strengthen internal controls, approval procedures, and reporting processes • Identify and mitigate financial, tax, compliance, and operational risks • Improve financial reporting efficiency, accuracy, and automation • Support ERP implementation, improvement, or integration • Develop standardised reporting templates, dashboards, and finance procedures • Train and support finance personnel on systems, reporting tools, and accounting policies • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements • Manage intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, foreign-currency translations, and consolidation adjustments • Coordinate annual audits and maintain Group accounting policies, reporting procedures, and financial controls

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant or ACCA member required • Candidates who have completed most ACCA examinations and are close to qualification may also be considered • Relevant degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline would be advantageous • 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification or senior-level experience • Previous experience as Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or another managerial finance role • Demonstrable experience preparing group consolidated financial statements • Strong practical knowledge of IFRS • Experience in taxation, corporate compliance, and statutory financial reporting • Experience within a diversified, multinational, or multi-entity group strongly preferred • Exposure to construction, mining, engineering, agriculture, or project-based businesses advantageous • Experience in African jurisdictions highly beneficial • Previous audit experience with a reputable accounting firm advantageous
