📋 Description

• Perform piping engineering calculations to support system design, modifications, and plant change activities • Analyze changes to existing power plants as well as new plant systems • Develop piping isometrics and related engineering design documents • Prepare design recommendations, technical specifications, and design change packages • Evaluate piping system layouts, supports, and modifications for constructability, operability, and code compliance • Support engineering assessments related to plant upgrades, retrofits, and system improvements • Work with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure piping designs integrate with broader plant systems • Review and interpret technical requirements, plant standards, and project criteria • Provide technical support during design development, document preparation, and implementation phases • Ensure work is completed in accordance with nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, BSME, required • 5 to 15 years of piping engineering experience • Nuclear industry experience is required • Strong piping background with the ability to perform engineering calculations • Experience developing isometrics, specifications, and design change packages • Experience supporting modifications to existing power plants and engineering for new plant systems • Well versed in a variety of engineering and analysis software systems • Strong understanding of piping design principles, system analysis, and engineering documentation • Ability to work within a regulated engineering environment with high documentation standards
