📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance a cloud-based analytics platform built with Ruby on Rails • Collaborate with product, management, and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions • Take increasing ownership of the platform's technical architecture and future direction • Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performing application features • Support platform modernisation and expansion of analytics capabilities • Contribute to AI-powered reporting initiatives and third-party integrations • Ensure code quality through best development practices and technical leadership • Optimise application performance, database efficiency, and system reliability • Mentor team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing • Participate in comprehensive knowledge transfer before assuming platform ownership • Identify technical risks, propose improvements, and drive continuous product enhancement

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Ruby on Rails development experience • Strong PostgreSQL expertise, including database design and query optimisation • Experience deploying, maintaining, and supporting applications on AWS, including RDS, EC2, SES, AMI, and Load Balancers • Strong understanding of Git and modern software development practices • Experience with jQuery, HTML5, SCSS, Bootstrap, and Ubuntu • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams • Preferred: REST APIs, HighCharts.js, JavaScript, Hotwire, modern front-end frameworks, reporting and analytics platforms, background job processing, Rails performance tuning, AI integrations, LLM APIs, and hospitality or retail software experience
