📋 Description

• Define and evolve infrastructure architecture on GCP and AWS • Lead platform technical decisions: IaC, GitOps, observability and infrastructure security • Design and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines, including deployment strategies and environment management • Implement and advance GitOps practices across multiple contexts (multi-cluster, multi-environment) • Define the team’s observability strategy: SLOs, SLIs, alerting, dashboards • Conduct structured RCAs for production incidents • Identify and address infrastructure security risks — reducing the development team’s dependency in this domain • Mentor mid-level engineers and support the team’s technical growth • Translate technical issues into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience with advanced GCP features: GKE (Autopilot/Standard), Conditional IAM, Org Policies, advanced VPC, Private Service Connect, Cloud Armor • Advanced Terraform: designing reusable modules, workspaces, IaC pipelines, drift management • Advanced Kubernetes: HPA, VPA, PodDisruptionBudget, RBAC, Network Policies, Workload Identity • Architecture of complex CI/CD pipelines — reusable workflows, rollout strategies, secrets management • Advanced GitOps: multi-cluster, sync strategies, progressive delivery, environment management — tool-agnostic • Observability architecture: SLOs/SLIs, strategic alerting, multiple audiences — stack-agnostic • Infrastructure security: IAM hardening, secret rotation, CVE analysis, Workload Identity, Binary Authorization or equivalent • Proven experience running RCAs and troubleshooting in high-criticality production environments • Genuine ownership — treats infrastructure as a product, not reactive support • Ability to influence technical decisions beyond the immediate team • Technical leadership: conducts tech reviews, mentors peers, defines standards • Systemic thinking: identifies dependencies and maps risks before they become incidents • Clear communication with managers and non-technical stakeholders.
