📋 Description

• Capacity Monitoring: Monitor Fabric Capacity Metrics / FUAM daily to prevent and mitigate throttling and performance degradation in the environment. • Performance Tuning: Investigate slow or heavy reports and semantic models, performing reverse engineering to optimize DAX and data structures. • Governance and Administration: Manage the data lifecycle (DevOps/Git/Deployment Pipelines), audit access and security (RLS/OLS), and organize workspace topology. • Consultative Role (Evangelization): Engage with report developers from other departments (Shadow IT) to diagnose root causes of slowness, advise on best practices, and negotiate refresh windows. • Architecture Evolution: Support architectural decisions on when to use Lakehouse, Warehouse, or semantic models in Direct Lake, integrating with the existing data ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven Seniority in Power BI/Fabric: More than 5 years of experience, preferably in the administration and support of Premium or Fabric environments. • Mandatory mention of tuning tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and use of the Performance Analyzer. • Hands-on mastery of DAX optimization and solid knowledge of Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema) and data architecture. • Knowledge of version control (Git), deployment flows (Deployment Pipelines), and consumption of Power BI REST APIs for governance automation. • Plus: Previous experience with integrations involving Azure Data Lake Gen2 and Azure Databricks. • Consultative and Diplomatic Profile: Will need to work with executives and business areas whose reports may be consuming company capacity. Must be able to say “no” technically while proposing solutions that avoid political friction. • Investigative Capacity and Autonomy: Strong focus on finding root causes (troubleshooting). Should be the type of professional who does not just restart a failed process but investigates why it failed and implements safeguards to prevent recurrence. • Ownership and Proactivity: Must not be passive (waiting for tickets). Needs to actively monitor logs and anticipate incidents (e.g., act on a model before it consumes 100% of compute).
