• Lead injection molding process simulations (filling, packing, cooling, warpage) to support product and tooling design decisions • Perform analytical modeling using Sigmasoft (preferred) or equivalent tools (e.g., Moldflow) • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) by identifying risks related to moldability, defects, and process variability • Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) and optimization studies to define robust processing windows • Collaborate with tooling, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to develop and validate tooling strategies • Investigate and resolve part quality issues using simulation insights and correlation with molding process parameters. • Correlate simulation results with physical trials and molded part data to improve model fidelity • Develop standardized workflows, automation scripts, and scalable simulation practices • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders • Contribute to structural/design evaluations of molded components in collaboration with CAE teams
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Plastics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering • 5 -10 years of experience working in Injection molding simulation (Sigmasoft preferred) • Solid foundation in the injection molding process physics and plastic part design • Hands on experience with Sigmasoft /Moldflow • Knowledge of scientific molding principles and practical exposure to molding machines and auxiliaries • Working knowledge of DOE, multi-objective optimization techniques and surrogate modeling approaches for part design exploration and process improvement • Familiarity with GD&T for engineering drawing interpretation • Experience with CAD tools (NX preferred) for modeling and geometry preparation • Exposure to Ansys or structural CAE tools for durability/strength analysis (added advantage) • Understanding of HPC/distributed computing environments for large scale simulation execution. • Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive problems to closure • Effective communicator with the ability to translate simulation insights into actionable decisions • Proven ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams • Comfortable working across time zones in a global engineering environment
