📋 Description
• Drive the long-term strategy for scaling, resiliency, and performance of AWS Aurora clusters • Act as the lead consultant for engineering teams on data modeling and query optimization • Proactively identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks • Lead the evaluation, prototyping, and adoption of new database technologies • Take full ownership of database observability and define key metrics
🎯 Requirements
• 15+ years of experience with large scale MySQL systems • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Aurora administration • Demonstrated experience guiding and influencing engineering teams on database best practices • Exceptional expertise in writing, analyzing, and optimizing complex SQL queries • Proven experience working with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience with AWS Elasticache (Redis), AWS DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases (bonus points)
