E-Verify Program is an electronic employment-eligibility verification system operated by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (USCIS) that lets employers confirm that new hires are authorized to work in the United States. The web-based service integrates with Form I-9 processes and provides tools and features for enrollment, case processing (including Tentative Nonconfirmations), document upload (myE-Verify), photo/driver’s license matching, web services integration, reporting, and compliance guidance — including special guidance for federal contractors and emergency situations. E-Verify also offers training, webinars, and resources to help employers meet legal obligations and maintain program compliance.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s U.S. trade compliance program, including policies, procedures, and internal controls • Partner with senior leadership and business partners to align trade compliance strategy with business objectives • Evaluate compliance maturity across global sites and implement improvement plans • Ensure consistent application of trade compliance standards across all operations • Ensure strong utilization of SAP and trade compliance related master data accuracy • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations (CBP) for all imports • Oversee US HTS classification • Oversee US customs valuation (including transfer pricing / computed value considerations) • Oversee Country of origin determination • Manage Temporary Import Bonds (TIBs) program and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) administration • Manage and optimize duty exposure • Ensure accurate entry documentation through customs brokers • Lead responses to CBP and FDA import inquiries, audits, and reviews • Ensure compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and applicable export controls • Oversee export classifications and denied/restricted party screening • Manage export licensing requirements • Own USMCA qualification and certification processes • Identify and implement duty savings opportunities • Partner with global sites to ensure compliant import/export execution • Support cross-border manufacturing flows • Collaborate with freight forwarders and customs brokers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, or related field • 7+ years of experience in U.S. import/export compliance within a manufacturing environment • Strong experience with: • U.S. Customs regulations and import processes • HTS classification, valuation, and origin • Export controls (EAR, OFAC) • Free trade agreements and value chain optimization programs • Experience supporting international manufacturing and cross-border supply chains • Customs Broker License (CCL) or equivalent certification • US person mandatory due to nature of job function and access to controlled information • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills • Experience with SAP and GTS highly desirable.
