📋 Description

• Perform ongoing financial accounting (accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, bank postings) • Process and monitor payment transactions and maintain accounts • Prepare VAT returns (VAT advance returns) • Prepare and produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP) • Contribute to group (consolidated) financial statements including consolidation • Prepare profit and loss statements (P&L) and related reports • Process and prepare R&D tax credits (research allowances) • Perform interim reconciliations and analyses • Identify optimization opportunities and further develop existing accounting processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training, further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or a degree in Accounting/Finance • Several years of professional experience (min. 5 years) in financial accounting / accounting • Good knowledge of accounting under HGB (German GAAP) • Experience in preparing or assisting with group financial statements (consolidation) is an advantage • Basic understanding of tax matters • Confident user of SAP S/4HANA • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) • Structured, careful and detail-oriented working style • High level of personal responsibility and reliability • Experience with Pleo is desirable • Additional knowledge of tax law is a plus • German language skills: C1 level.
