📋 Description

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.) • Manage and scale our on-premise virtualization environment using Proxmox • Maintain backups and ensure consistency across multiple datacenter environments • Support internal teams with user and service-level adjustments • Automate infrastructure operations using Ansible, Terraform, or Bash scripting • Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to ensure repeatability and stability across environments • Contribute to incremental improvements in infrastructure and automation • Configure and support services such as reverse proxies, firewalls, and virtualized networks • Monitor systems and enhancing practices using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Telegraf • Identify systems bottlenecks and perform troubleshooting root cause analysis on incidents • Help implementing proactive alerting, performance tuning, and capacity planning strategies • Contribute to architectural decisions for new systems, virtualization expansion, and data center upgrades • Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and cloud engineers to integrate systems effectively • Document system configurations, procedures, and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and disaster recovery preparedness

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • 3+ years of hands-on experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering • Experience supporting 24x7 high availability environments, servers, load balancing systems, and virtualized infrastructure • Strong background in Linux system administration • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals • Hands-on experience with Proxmox or other virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM) • Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform • Experience with Docker and managing containerized services • Familiarity with GitLab and version control practices • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana stack, or similar) • Ability to learn new tools through documentation and apply them independently • Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese • Previous experience in telecom, hosting, datacenter, or infrastructure service providers is a plus • Nice to have: Strong communication skills in Spanish.
