📋 Description

• We are looking for a Senior SAP BTP Developer to design and build the front-end of a complex business application on SAP Business Technology Platform (PaaS), and to own the application's access control layer end-to-end. • A core part of this role is ensuring that authorizations enforced within the BTP application stay consistent with the authorization model of our core SAP system (S/4HANA / ECC), so that what a user can see and do in the new screens mirrors their entitlements in the system of record. • This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is equally comfortable crafting a polished, performant UI and reasoning carefully about who is allowed to do what, and why. • Build and maintain front-end screens for a complex application using SAPUI5 / SAP Fiori (and/or SAP Build Apps where appropriate), following Fiori design guidelines. • Translate business and functional requirements into responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces. • Integrate front-end components with backend services via OData / REST, including consumption of CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) services where applicable. • Deploy and manage apps on the SAP Fiori Launchpad / SAP Build Work Zone.

🎯 Requirements

• 6–10 years of SAP development experience • Strong front-end skills in SAPUI5 / SAP Fiori, including custom control development, OData model binding, and Fiori Launchpad configuration. • Demonstrable experience implementing application security on BTP using XSUAA (scopes, role templates, role collections) and SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS). • Working knowledge of the core SAP authorization concept — PFCG roles, authorization objects, and how backend authorizations should map to an application-level access model. • Experience with principal propagation / SSO between BTP and an S/4HANA or ECC backend, and with the BTP Destination and Connectivity services. • Solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and OData (v2/v4). • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both functional/business stakeholders and the SAP security team.
