📋 Description

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch VMware ESXi and vCenter / vSphere • Build and run HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion clusters • Manage VMFS and NFS datastores, datastore clusters / Storage DRS, provisioning, and snapshots • Design and maintain virtual networking with vSwitches, Distributed Switches, port groups, and VLANs • Manage the full VM lifecycle, including templates, cloning, P2V/V2V migrations, and performance troubleshooting • Provision storage for ESXi by creating LUNs/volumes, mapping hosts, zoning/masking, and presenting VMware datastores • Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and latency troubleshooting between ESXi and storage arrays • Deploy and manage AWS EC2 instances, including instance types, AMIs, key pairs, EBS volumes, and snapshots • Migrate or import workloads from VMware to AWS using AWS Application Migration Service and VM Import/Export • Document infrastructure clearly enough for others to operate • Take ownership of production VMware and storage environments • Ensure system performance, stability, and availability

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of hands-on work with ESXi and vCenter / vSphere in production • Strong VMware core skills • Enterprise storage presented to VMware (required) • Hands-on experience with IBM Storage (FlashSystem / Storwize / SVC), Dell Compellent, EMC VNXe, or comparable enterprise arrays • Fibre Channel and iSCSI, ideally NFS as well, including multipathing (PSP / Round Robin) on ESXi • AWS EC2 (required, working level) • Basic AWS networking: VPC, subnets, security groups, Elastic IPs • Basic IAM awareness and cost-conscious sizing • Ability to work independently from design through deployment and troubleshooting • Clear technical documentation skills • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences • Nice to have: VMware VCP-DCV certification • Nice to have: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or SysOps Administrator certification • Nice to have: IBM Storage certifications • Nice to have: Array-side snapshots and replication, VAAI • Nice to have: VMware backup tools such as Veeam or Commvault • Nice to have: PowerCLI, PowerShell, AWS CLI • Nice to have: Windows Server and Linux administration • Nice to have: Hybrid setups (on-prem VMware + AWS) or VMware Cloud on AWS • Candidates must be based in Romania
