📋 Description

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch VMware ESXi and vCenter / vSphere • Build and operate HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion clusters • Manage VMFS and NFS datastores, datastore clusters / Storage DRS, provisioning, and snapshots • Design and maintain virtual networking using vSwitches, Distributed Switches, port groups, and VLANs • Manage the full VM lifecycle, including templates, cloning, P2V/V2V migrations, and performance troubleshooting • Provision storage end-to-end for ESXi, including LUNs/volumes, host mapping, zoning/masking, and VMware datastore presentation • Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and latency troubleshooting between ESXi and storage arrays • Deploy and manage AWS EC2 instances, including instance types, AMIs, key pairs, EBS volumes, and snapshots • Migrate or import workloads from VMware to AWS using AWS Application Migration Service and VM Import/Export • Document infrastructure clearly so it can be operated by others • Work closely with the infrastructure team to plan capacity and troubleshoot performance from the storage array through the hypervisor • Support site recovery, business continuity, and hybrid on-premises/cloud environments

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter / vSphere, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching • Practical knowledge of clustering: HA, DRS, vMotion • Practical knowledge of datastores and virtual networking • Experience with or solid familiarity with Site Recovery Manager / Live Site Recovery and Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage presented to VMware • Experience with IBM Storage (FlashSystem / Storwize / SVC), Dell Compellent, EMC VNXe, or comparable enterprise arrays • Working knowledge of Fibre Channel and iSCSI and storage provisioning to ESXi hosts • Ability to work independently from deployment through troubleshooting • Ability to write clear documentation • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences • Cisco UCS experience is a plus • AWS EC2 experience is a plus • Knowledge of NFS, ESXi multipathing, array-side snapshots and replication, and VAAI is a plus • Experience with Rubrik, IBM Storage Defender Copy Data Management, or similar tools is a plus • VMware VCP-DCV, IBM Storage, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or SysOps Administrator certifications are a plus • PowerCLI, PowerShell, or AWS CLI scripting and automation experience is a plus • Windows Server and Linux administration experience is a plus • Experience with hybrid on-premises VMware and AWS setups or VMware Cloud on AWS is a plus • Candidates must be based in Romania
