📋 Description

• Support the Aquaculture Welfare Project in Brazil • Work with the Program Manager and other consultants to deliver: training and capacity building • Implement the Tilapia Welfare Assessment protocol • Conduct on-farm welfare assessments • Assess project partners against certification standards such as Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) • Support FAI's R&D activities with partners • Produce technical briefings, literature reviews, case studies and reports on topics such as tilapia welfare, nutrition, health, environment and behavior • Provide recommendations for improvement actions • Verify and analyze assessment data • Prepare reports using FAI's data tools • Monitor the implementation of welfare practices by partners • Review activities and support planning • Produce content for stakeholder engagement • Participate in in-person and online meetings and take meeting minutes • Support development and testing of FAI's digital solutions • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the aquaculture welfare project

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Aquaculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or related fields (or equivalent practical experience) • Experience in food supply chains (with a focus on aquaculture/fish farming), sustainability consulting or fish welfare • Knowledge of BAP and ASC certifications or experience with aquaculture improvement projects • Proven experience working collaboratively with teams and partners • Ability to produce high-quality technical materials • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) and data management • Advanced English (written and spoken)
