📋 Description

• Lead your team in applying new technologies and practices, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation. • Partner with Product Management and other leaders to deliver user-first solutions aligned with FBG’s strategic goals. • Use data and metrics to guide decisions, drive measurable impact, and ensure continuous improvement. • Mentor and grow your team, supporting career development and shaping future leaders. • Oversee the design and delivery of scalable, reliable systems while managing technical debt and performance improvements. • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to influence product strategy and technical direction. • Communicate complex technical ideas and updates clearly to engineers, executives, and non-technical stakeholders. • Stay current on industry trends, bringing forward new ideas to elevate team performance. • Be open to occasional travel for offsite, events, or collaboration sessions (with flexibility for personal needs).

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in engineering leadership, with proven ability to mentor and inspire technical excellence. • 7+ years in software development, ideally with Java and AWS or similar cloud technologies. • 3+ years designing cloud-native systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Strong background in Agile delivery, with experience driving process improvements across teams. • Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly to varied audiences. • Team-first mindset, results-oriented, and adaptable to high-growth, fast-changing environments. • Track record of delivering complex, scalable solutions with a focus on customer experience. • Preferred: Experience in the sports, gaming, or content delivery industries. • Preferred: Proficiency with Kotlin, Java, and/or Go. • Preferred: Expertise in event-driven architectures and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Amazon SQS). • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform. • Preferred: Comfort working across diverse codebases (legacy and greenfield) in multiple languages and environments.
