📋 Description

• Foster expertise in Indian steel and steelmaking raw materials markets • Produce quality prices and news aligned with Fastmarkets’ PRA approach • Work within regional and global teams to support development and adoption of benchmark prices • Collect pricing data and set prices according to methodology, price specifications and IOSCO principles • Provide cover for colleagues’ pricing patches • Peer review prices to verify processes and editorial judgement • Write market commentaries, breaking news and insightful PRA-focused copy • Manage and expand industry contacts submitting pricing data and providing news exclusives • Handle market questions about pricing sessions and make processes transparent • Assist the section editor in reviewing and managing the price pipeline and identifying new price opportunities • Support the market engagement plan through PRA content, white papers, infographics, internal and external events, social media and industry meetings • Coordinate daily content and pricing agendas with regional and global teams • Report to the section editor and follow guidance from senior reporters • Liaise with price development, marketing and events divisions when necessary • Engage with traders, producers, consumers and brokers in covered markets

🎯 Requirements

• High level of written and spoken English • Knowledge of another language is helpful but not required • Interest in and understanding of financial markets and commodities • Strong networking and communication skills • Good confident telephone manner • Ability to work with discipline and dynamism and take initiatives to cover stories and find information • Team player who acts courteously and professionally with impeccable integrity • Curiosity in expanding market knowledge • Commitment to join projects and take part in training courses • Ability to work with numbers and spreadsheets and produce analytical editorial copy • People skills to answer queries about prices and pricing sessions • Some practical experience in journalism or writing, including spotting important news and structuring an article
