📋 Description

• Administer, ensure the availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of Amazon RDS for SQL Server, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon DynamoDB environments • Primarily act as an AWS Cloud DBA in mission-critical environments • Apply SRE, DevOps, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise to increase the scalability and operational efficiency of these environments

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a DBA administering AWS environments • Strong experience with Amazon RDS for SQL Server, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon DynamoDB • Experience administering, supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing databases in mission-critical environments • Experience with relational and NoSQL data modeling • Advanced knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery, including Always On, Multi-AZ, read replicas, failover, and contingency strategies • Experience with backup, restore, snapshots, replication, and data recovery in distributed environments • Solid experience in performance tuning, query analysis, indexing, partitioning, and workload optimization for SQL and NoSQL databases • Experience monitoring and implementing observability for databases using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and related tools • Experience with AWS Backup, retention policies, compliance, and data governance • In-depth knowledge of DynamoDB, including Global Tables, DynamoDB Streams, partitioning strategies, and performance-oriented data modeling • Advanced knowledge of database-dedicated EC2 instances and administration of AWS resources related to the data layer • Knowledge of SRE practices applied to the data layer, including observability, availability, capacity management, incident management, and root cause analysis • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation • Experience automating administrative tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation related to databases • Knowledge of Git and GitHub for version control and change management • Familiarity with .NET and Node.js applications to support performance analysis, troubleshooting, and database integration
