📋 Description

• Define and execute the strategic technical vision for critical business domains • Lead multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Product, Design), ensuring alignment and collaboration • Scale engineering organizations organically: recruiting, development, retention, and succession planning • Architect scalable, resilient solutions in distributed systems (Backend, Mobile, Platform) • Foster a culture of psychological safety and human-centered leadership • Manage engineering budget and P&L with a focus on ROI and efficiency • Lead digital transformations: process optimization and improvement of delivery metrics (DORA / CORE 4) • Establish quality standards: design reviews, robust CI/CD, automated testing, and observability • Reduce MTTR through automation, tooling, and a culture of learning • Promote strategic adoption of generative AI in the SDLC (copilots, AI tools) • Collaborate with Product on product discovery and solution validation • Identify and address technical debt strategically • Translate technical complexity into business value for stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent • Minimum of 12 years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in technical/managerial leadership • Experience managing engineering teams (10+ direct reports) within scalable organizations • Expertise in critical domains: fintech, banking, insurance, lending/credit, or financial operations • Deep knowledge of distributed systems architecture and scalability • Experience in digital transformation and operations optimization • Familiarity with modern infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms) • Budget and P&L management experience (including managing technical investments) • Human-centered leadership and ability to foster psychological safety • Clear communication and ability to translate technical complexity for executives • Excellent Portuguese skills; English desirable • MBA in Technology, Strategic Management, or Digital Transformation • Certifications: PMP, PSM, PSPO, Management 3.0, or Product Management certifications • Hands-on experience with generative AI in the SDLC • Proven track record of recognized innovation or transformations • Focus on delivery metrics (DORA / CORE 4) and observability • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and a shift-left mindset • Active presence in technical communities (talks, articles, mentoring)
