📋 Description
• Own Database Reliability by driving high availability and disaster recovery strategies • Define and execute the scalability roadmap, including partitioning and sharding strategies • Perform deep-dive query optimization and proactive bottleneck remediation • Build and manage scalable inference and connection pooling strategies and robust backup/restore automations • Design the monitoring architecture and define SLIs/SLOs for database health • Implement banking-grade security practices, including credential management • Collaborate with product teams to ensure database schema changes support high-load environments • Set the technical bar for the DBA function through mentoring and hands-on implementation
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in high-load, production environments • Advanced knowledge of index design (B-tree, GIN, GiST, BRIN), partitioning, and vacuum tuning • Proven experience designing streaming replication, clustering, and automated backup validation • Hands-on experience with cloud-managed PostgreSQL (specifically GCP) and Linux systems administration • Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab, ArgoCD) • Expertise in complex queries, stored procedures, and functions • Experience building monitoring and alerting for databases (Prometheus/Grafana) • Fluent in English
