📋 Description

• Design, build, and continuously improve end-to-end reconciliation processes across SEPA, SWIFT, and card payment flows • Extend reconciliation capabilities to investment and portfolio reconciliation, working with external data providers where needed • Build and automate vendor and regulatory reports, ensuring they reconcile with the underlying reconciliation dataset • Design source-level data quality validations • Identify and eliminate manual, repetitive reconciliation steps using internal tooling, scripting, or external platforms • Design and build reconciliation reporting and monitoring dashboards using data visualisation tools • Address recurring discrepancies and KRI breaches through structural process improvements • Act as the internal subject-matter authority on reconciliation data and tooling • Take problems from vague descriptions to shipped solutions with minimal oversight • Autonomously prioritise and sequence work and drive change within the Operations team

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years working directly in reconciliation, payments operations, or a closely related financial operations role • Experience at a bank, EMI, or payments institution • Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimising SQL • Hands-on experience with data visualisation/BI tools such as Databricks, Metabase, Tableau, or similar • Comfortable using AI tools to speed up automation, process, and reporting work • Ability to decompose manual workflows into automatable steps, with a track record of implementing automation • Genuine autonomy and sound independent judgment • Ability to explain technical and numerical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Finance • Comfortable with complex payment infrastructures and intricate money flows, including investment portfolio reconciliation • Bonus: experience with investment or portfolio reconciliation or investment accounting/reporting platforms such as Clearwater or Advent/SS&C • Bonus: automation using Python or similar scripting languages • Bonus: experience with external reconciliation or data providers in vendor integrations • Bonus: experience in a mutual fund or similar collective investment scheme back-office • Bonus: experience reconciling positions, valuations, and P&L against external asset managers or fund administrators • No educational credential is explicitly required
