• Lead the craft of engineering across mobile-first, free-to-play live service games. • Set the bar for engineering standards and grow strong technical leadership. • Ensure game teams have what they need to build and run titles quickly. • Collaborate with Technical Directors across studios and connect people and tools with goals. • Maintain alignment with central tech groups and shared systems for faster delivery. • Mentor Technical Directors, helping them lead with confidence. • Push for efficient workflows from project setup to live service. • Own and evolve shared client-side tech for reliability and ease of use. • Set high standards for code quality, performance, and observability. • Partner with various functions to make engineering a proactive partner. • Lead hiring and retention for game engineering. • Balance resourcing across game teams as needs shift. • Ensure engineering visibility in company priorities at the exec level.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as a senior engineering leader in games, running multi-team orgs delivering live/service titles. • Proven ability to grow and coach Technical Directors and build technical leadership in distributed teams. • Track record of shaping org design, workflows, and integrating new tech (including AI) to boost development speed. • Strong technical credibility, especially in Unity and games-as-a-service, with a sharp view on multi-platform development. • Deep knowledge of the game dev lifecycle - particularly live ops and content pipelines - and how engineering drives consistent delivery. • Clear, inspiring communicator who can align people across roles, levels, and cultures. • Passion for building healthy, accountable, high-performing teams. • Able to lead with autonomy and clarity, always tying execution back to business goals. • Comfortable with agile practices, learning fast, and iterating.
