• Manage, coordinate and support activities related to geological site characterizations • Manage, coordinate and support rock construction or construction site and logistics planning • Participate in investigations, assessments and tasks supporting geological characterizations, construction and excavation planning • Assess the impacts of geological site conditions on plant designs and site layout • Plan cooling water arrangements • Contribute broadly to the development of Fortum’s New Nuclear business • Learn about the development of a nuclear newbuild project • Work in a fixed-term position alongside the Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program • Participate in trainee activities, modules, seminars, assignments, site visits and networking across the Nordic nuclear sector
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a suitable field, e.g. civil/rock engineering, rock construction or geology • A couple of years of relevant working experience • Experience in geological surveys, drilling, rock or tunnel excavation, construction, or construction site and logistics planning • Good command of English, written and oral • Finnish and/or Swedish language skills are an advantage • General understanding of geology and hydrogeology • General understanding of geological and geophysical investigations • Understanding of how geological information is collected, handled and modelled, including 3D visualisation • Understanding of excavation techniques and rock construction • Knowledge and experience from large infrastructure construction projects is a plus • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional settings • Systematic, organized and goal-oriented approach • Strong drive to complete projects and assignments according to schedules and milestones • Good interpersonal and people skills • Effective problem identification and solution skills • Strong sense of responsibility • Successful completion of background clearance and a health examination including drug testing • Application must be submitted in English with CV and Cover Letter
