📋 Description

• Run the engineering leadership cadence, including director-level syncs, agendas, documented decisions, and follow-through • Take over and drive the quarterly OKR and QBR cycle, including objective updates, follow-ups, issue escalation, and review preparation • Maintain a live record of leadership decisions and commitments and track them to closure • Identify stalled or ownerless cross-team work and restore clear ownership • Drive special projects to a chartered state, then hand them off to permanent owners • Coordinate organizational models, data-team setup, vendor selection, procurement, security consulting, AI-agent platform initiatives, technical audits, platform evaluations, and tool pilots • Turn complex organizational and project inputs into concise, decision-ready material for the CTO, executive team, and board • Facilitate delegated decisions to closure through documentation, escalation, and communication • Standardize engineering leadership planning, tracking, and communication through rituals, templates, and operating rhythms • Partner across the organization on cross-cutting initiatives, procurement, pilot contracts, and engineering tool budgeting • Actively use AI in day-to-day work and identify opportunities for AI to reshape functional problems • Establish the operating cadence, map ownerless initiatives, take over the OKR/QBR loop, and set performance baselines during the first 90 days

🎯 Requirements

• Track record running the operating system of an engineering organization, likely as a TPM lead, head of engineering operations, or equivalent • Experience owning cadence, planning, and cross-team coordination at organizational scale • Demonstrated ownership of ambiguous, multi-team initiatives delivered through influence without direct authority • Track record turning raw, complex information into brief, decisive, executive-level material • Ability to build durable systems and follow-up loops • Ability to work effectively alongside engineers, engineering managers, and directors and earn their trust through reliability and follow-through • Sufficient technical fluency to follow technical discussions and coordinate them without being the technical authority or making architecture decisions • Fluent English (C1+) and Russian for internal and external technical communications • Willingness to actively use AI in day-to-day work and develop AI fluency • Prior Chief of Staff, Engineering Operations, or TPM-lead experience reporting into engineering leadership (nice to have) • Experience driving operational efficiency in engineering organizations of 100+ people, including automation and AI tooling (nice to have) • Procurement, vendor-contracting, or budgeting experience (nice to have) • Nonprofit-tech or payments-domain familiarity (nice to have) • Familiarity with Node.js/NestJS, React, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Kafka, Cloudflare, PCI DSS 4.0.1, SOC 2 Type II, or ISO 27001 (nice to have)
