• Run the engineering leadership cadence, including director-level syncs, agendas, documented decisions, and follow-through • Drive the quarterly OKR and QBR cycle, including objective updates, follow-ups, issue escalation, and review preparation • Maintain a live record of leadership decisions and commitments and drive them to closure • Identify stalled or ownerless cross-team work and establish named ownership • Coordinate special projects through chartering, planning, tracking, and handoff to permanent owners • Prepare concise, decision-ready materials for the CTO, executive team, and board-level audiences • Facilitate delegated decisions to documented closure, escalating stalled decisions and communicating outcomes • Standardize engineering leadership planning, tracking, and communication through rituals, templates, and operating rhythms • Partner across the organization on cross-cutting initiatives, procurement, pilot contracts, and engineering tool budgeting • Use AI actively in day-to-day work and identify opportunities for AI to improve functional processes • Establish operating cadence, map ownerless initiatives, take over the OKR/QBR loop, and set baselines during the first 90 days • Coordinate with Engineering Directors, Product, Data/Analytics, Executive Team, BizOps, Finance, Legal, and IT • Measure performance through follow-up closure, named ownership, OKR freshness, CTO workload reduction, project reactivation, and successful handoffs
• Track record running the operating system of an engineering organization, likely as a TPM lead, head of engineering operations, or equivalent • Experience owning cadence, planning, and cross-team coordination at organizational scale • Demonstrated ownership of ambiguous, multi-team initiatives delivered through influence without direct authority • Track record turning complex information into concise, decisive executive-level material • Ability to build durable operating systems and follow-up loops • Ability to work effectively with engineers, engineering managers, and directors and earn their trust • Sufficient technical fluency to follow technical discussions and coordinate them without being the technical authority • Fluent English (C1+) and Russian for internal and external technical communications • Active use of AI in day-to-day work and willingness to develop AI fluency • Prior Chief of Staff, Engineering Operations, or TPM-lead experience reporting into engineering leadership (nice to have) • Experience with operational efficiency in engineering organizations of 100+ people and automation/AI tooling (nice to have) • Procurement, vendor contracting, or budgeting experience (nice to have) • Nonprofit-tech or payments-domain familiarity (nice to have) • Familiarity with Node.js/NestJS, React, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Kafka, Cloudflare, PCI DSS 4.0.1, SOC 2 Type II, or ISO 27001 (nice to have)
