📋 Description

• Move analytics off the production PostgreSQL database • Build extraction pipelines from production PostgreSQL into the analytical warehouse using incremental loads • Write and maintain layered dbt models, including dimensions, reusable metric building blocks, and serving tables • Define shared metrics in the semantic layer • Add tests, freshness checks, and alerts to pipelines • Run safe backfills when data needs correcting • Apply access-control and tenant-separation patterns to models and pipelines • Maintain lineage from metrics to source records and drone images • Partner with the integration team to validate incoming WMS data against agreed contracts • Document models and register them in the data catalog • Deliver through CI/CD and use AI-assisted development • Join on-call for owned pipelines • Start with the Drone product and help onboard MHE Vision and 3D case counting products • Collaborate with Full Stack, ML, Product, Security, Customer Success, senior engineers, and the integration team

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5 years building and running production data pipelines • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience • Strong SQL, including joins, window functions, and CTEs • Working understanding of dimensional modelling (facts, dimensions, grain) • PostgreSQL experience preferred • Hands-on experience building tested models in dbt, Snowflake Dynamic Tables, Databricks Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines, or equivalent • Production Python pipeline code with tests and code review • Experience running pipelines in Airflow, Dagster, Databricks Lakeflow Jobs, Snowflake Tasks, or equivalent, including failures, re-runs, and backfills • Experience loading data from an operational database into a warehouse or lakehouse such as Snowflake or Databricks • Production experience on Azure or another major cloud • Experience with object storage, Git, CI/CD, and Docker/Kubernetes • Writes tests alongside code and prioritizes data correctness • Hands-on and curious; investigates problems beyond own code, contributes ideas, and accepts review feedback • Clear written and spoken English • Ability to write good pull requests and documentation and raise blockers early in a distributed team
