📋 Description
• Review documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and applicable modifiers to same-day surgery encounters. • Collaborate with the coding manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of charts for facility same-day surgery coding. • Ensure compliance with coding rules, guidelines, and client expectations. • Maintain high-quality standards and coding accuracy.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgery coding within an acute care hospital, teaching facility, or trauma center. • Experience with complex outpatient surgery coding including orthopedics • AHIMA credentials required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or COC) with facility coding experience • Experience with EPIC & Optum CAC preferred • A demonstrated track record of maintaining 95% coding accuracy and high-quality standards. • Must pass our coding assessment.
