📋 Description

• Provide strategic and spiritual leadership for Greater Europe Mission e.V. in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland • Advance the mission of multiplying disciples, strengthening the church, and mobilizing individuals into ministry • Grow GEM’s impact in Germany and Europe and cast this vision to board members, partners, employees, and stakeholders • Build and lead an executive team and operational team • Represent the NorthCentral/DACH region on the Europe Leadership Team in discussions and decisions for GEM workers in Europe • Collaborate with GEM International executive leadership to advance its mission and vision across Europe • Develop and maintain the verein membership and board of Greater Europe Mission e.V. • Develop organizational partnerships with ministries and organizations in Germany and Europe • Foster an inclusive culture for recruiting and mobilizing workers • Keep the GEM Germany e.V. board informed of evolving risks and operational issues • Oversee people and ministry efforts in Germany, currently also Austria and Switzerland • Oversee all operational activities of GEM Germany e.V. • Build and maintain a network of financial donors in Germany and Europe • Lead, develop, and care for the Ministry Director, Chief Operating Officer, Finance Director, and Mobilization Director • Maintain and model personal spiritual vitality and engage in personal discipleship

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced-level position • Ability to set vision, think long-term, and translate mission into actionable strategy • Experience leading organizational growth and aligning boards, staff, and international leadership • Strong skills in leading, mentoring, and developing senior-level staff • Ability to supervise multiple functional leaders and foster a healthy, collaborative, mission-driven culture • Ability to build and sustain donor relationships in a European context • Networking, compelling communication of vision, and securing financial support • High level of English competence required • Increasing use of German within German contexts • Ability to work effectively across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and with global leadership • Cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and strong communication skills • Ability to partner with the board chair, develop the board, maintain transparency, manage risk, and ensure good governance within a nonprofit/verein structure • Skill in building relationships with ministries and organizations across Europe • Commitment to maintaining personal spiritual vitality and engaging in personal discipleship
