📋 Description

• Build and ship full-stack features end to end, including database schema, backend services, and user interfaces • Translate customer problems and product requirements into working software • Improve the mature codebase incrementally and reduce technical debt during feature work • Write tests, increase automated test coverage, and participate in code reviews • Build features that withstand live-event loads and diagnose production issues • Optimise queries, background jobs, and frontend performance • Build and maintain third-party marketing, CRM, and payment integrations • Design integrations for timeouts, rate limits, partial failures, and silent breakage • Maintain data correctness across a sharded multi-database architecture • Work directly with Product on scoping and feasibility • Support Customer Support with customer-reported issue diagnosis • Document inherited system knowledge and help onboard new engineers • Contribute to either the Live Experience or Platform product focus area • Deliver reliable features, support live events, complete the billing migration, and improve codebase maintainability

🎯 Requirements

• Five or more years building and maintaining production web applications • Strong PHP and modern Laravel experience in a large existing codebase • Production Vue experience, or strong React or Angular experience with willingness to work in Vue 3 daily • Relational database fluency at scale, including query optimisation, large-table migrations, replication, and failover behaviour • Experience with background job systems, including idempotency, retries, and dead-lettering • Ability to improve mature systems incrementally and take ownership of inherited code • For Live Experience: real-time or collaborative application experience with WebSockets, Firebase, or comparable publish-subscribe synchronisation • For Live Experience: experience with reconnection and out-of-order state handling • For Live Experience: browser media APIs and WebRTC or HLS playback in production • For Live Experience: experience supporting real-time systems where downtime is immediately visible to users • For Platform: experience with multi-tenant or sharded database architectures • For Platform: third-party marketing and CRM integrations and their failure modes • For Platform: transactional email deliverability, including DKIM, sender reputation, bounce, and complaint handling • For Platform: payment provider migration experience • Willingness to work in a mature production codebase and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Customer Support
