📋 Description

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architect and engineer-provided plans using PlanSwift and other estimating software — including material counts, labor hour assessments, and site-specific civil requirements. • Review project specifications, addendums, plan schedules, and local permitting requirements thoroughly to identify missing information and flag questions before bid submission. • Manage the full bid solicitation and submission process — from coordinating supplier and vendor pricing to preparing and submitting complete, accurate bids. • Track active bid invitations, manage the estimating pipeline, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on pricing and scope clarification. • Support post-award workflows including subcontractor buyouts, submittals packages, and ongoing coordination with subs and suppliers on scope and scheduling. • Collaborate with office staff on vendor outreach, quote compilation, and bid breakdowns as needed. • Demonstrate familiarity with South Florida market conditions, local permitting requirements, and project timelines specific to Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil work, with demonstrated experience on mid-to-large-scale projects ($500K - $5M+ scope) for U.S. clients. • Proven experience building out and owning estimating processes and workflows from the ground up. • Strong ability to read and interpret civil engineering and site plans with a high degree of accuracy, including code compliance considerations. • End-to-end bid process experience — from takeoff and supplier pricing coordination through formal submission, plus familiarity with post-award workflows (buyouts, submittals, scope coordination). • Direct project experience on heavy civil and site development projects. • Proficiency with PlanSwift or similar takeoff software. • Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) and prior experience working remotely for a U.S.-based contractor is strongly preferred.
