📋 Description

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication projects, including structural steel, miscellaneous steel, stairs, handrails, and pre-engineered metal building installations • Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents • Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software and manual markups when necessary • Obtain and evaluate vendor and supplier quotations for steel packages, materials, and subcontracted work • Work directly with company leadership to understand estimating methodologies, labor rates, overhead, and target profit margins • Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with project profitability goals • Utilize estimating and construction management software platforms including Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, and similar tools • Maintain organized bid documentation and support project transitions after contract award • Take ownership of the estimating process while supporting leadership's project management and business operations

🎯 Requirements

• 3–12+ years of U.S. commercial construction estimating experience • Direct structural steel fabrication estimating experience required • Strong experience in structural steel fabrication estimating • Experience estimating miscellaneous metals and fabricated steel packages • Proven experience obtaining vendor quotations and managing material pricing • Proficiency with construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, or equivalent • Experience reviewing U.S. construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents • Available to work 40 hours per week during U.S. Central Time business hours • Excellent English communication skills • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail • Comfortable working within established estimating processes and workflows • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong accountability • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred • Resume must be formatted in English
