📋 Description

• Own the preparation and accuracy of the P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet • Run the monthly close on schedule and ensure reporting packages are consistent, reconciled, and usable by management • Own inventory and fixed asset accounting for bikes, batteries, and spare parts • Maintain and improve capitalization and depreciation policies • Manage the fixed asset register, disposals, write-offs, and inventory-to-general-ledger reconciliations • Maintain the financial model for internal planning • Build annual and quarterly budgets with department heads • Track actual performance against plan and report variances with recommended corrective action • Build the financial control function, including approval procedures, spend controls, segregation of duties, and controls over cash, receivables, and payables • Manage in-house accountants and the outsourced accounting firm • Oversee payroll, multi-state tax registrations and filings, statutory reporting, and audit readiness • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payment processing • Work with operations, supply chain, and product teams on pricing changes, new city launches, vendor contracts, warehouse and inventory processes, and payment system changes • Identify and address financial and accounting implications of cross-functional projects at the design stage

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in accounting and finance, including owning a full monthly close as Controller, Head of Finance, or equivalent • Experience in the US market • Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting in a physical business • Multi-state payroll and tax compliance experience • Experience managing accounting staff and outsourced providers • Experience building processes rather than only maintaining them • Strong systems skills, including accounting system implementation or migration • Russian speaker
