📋 Description

• Implement and evolve the HTTP routing service with shard map lookup, authentication via Azure AD / Entra ID, and forwarding to the correct cell in AKS. • Ensure router resilience through circuit breakers, retries with exponential backoff, and fallback to a local shard map cache. • Define and review the use of Azure Key Vault for service secrets and credentials. • Expose REST or gRPC APIs with versioned, documented contracts covered by contract testing. • Implement event routing through Azure Event Hubs, with consumer groups isolated by cell and guaranteed delivery per tenant. • Ensure idempotent message processing and implement a per-cell dead-letter queue strategy. • Implement event traceability using correlation IDs propagated end to end. • Implement the data access layer with tenant-key-aligned sharding using Azure SQL and Cosmos DB. • Define and implement schema migrations via Flyway or Liquibase, integrated with the AKS deployment pipeline. • Ensure that database operations never cross cell boundaries. • Implement a per-cell caching strategy with Azure Cache for Redis. • Develop Control Plane APIs for tenant registration, shard map reading and updates, and re-sharding operations. • Ensure static stability when the Control Plane is unavailable. • Lead code and design reviews. • Lead the backend team and coordinate with DevOps and Architecture. • Produce ADRs and document API and database contracts. • Provide effort estimates and contribute to technical proposals. • Define the service deployment model on AKS using ArgoCD. • Ensure APM instrumentation with Datadog and correlation of traces, logs, and metrics.

🎯 Requirements

• Lead-level professional. • Java, Go, or Kotlin in high-scale production services, with a focus on resilience. • Experience as a backend team tech lead. • Azure SQL and Cosmos DB: modeling, sharding, and production tuning. • Azure Event Hubs or Service Bus: consumer groups, idempotency, and dead-lettering. • Azure Cache for Redis: caching strategy and per-cell invalidation. • Azure Key Vault: defining secrets and credential management standards for the team. • AKS: service deployment, health checks, readiness probes, and pod lifecycle management. • ArgoCD and GitOps as an application delivery model. • Datadog: APM, distributed tracing, and correlated production logs. • Experience with Cell-Based Architecture or production sharded systems is a plus. • AZ-204, CKA, or equivalent certifications are a plus. • AWS equivalents—Aurora, DynamoDB, MSK, and ElastiCache—are a plus. • Go experience with high-performance, low-latency routing services is a plus. • Participation in technical pre-sales or proposal development is a plus. • Ability to work independently and manage your own time.
