📋 Description

• Lead a small team supporting GitLab's global benefits and compensation operations • Translate global program priorities into dependable execution • Strengthen operational controls and simplify processes across regions and time zones • Oversee, coach, and develop the local Benefits Analyst and Senior Total Rewards Operations Analyst • Prioritize recurring cycles, service requests, audits, and time-sensitive projects • Oversee market-data workflows, compensation-cycle preparation, system transactions, equity grant data checks, and audit evidence • Establish quality controls, review points, escalation paths, and records practices for sensitive information • Monitor deadlines, dependencies, service trends, and risks; implement process improvements • Partner with global program owners to coordinate execution and communicate local considerations • Work with People Technology and system stakeholders to clarify requirements, test changes, and improve data quality and workflow efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in Total Rewards, benefits, compensation operations, or a closely related People function in a global organization • Working knowledge of benefits administration and/or compensation processes and their dependencies • Demonstrated people-management ability, including setting priorities, coaching team members, and developing operational capability • Record of delivering accurate work across multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and time zones • Practical controls, root-cause analysis, and process-improvement experience • Clear written communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain processes and escalate risks • Sound judgment with confidential data and sensitive team member matters • Ability to use spreadsheets, human resources systems, and collaboration tools to manage workflows and validate data • Fluency in artificial intelligence tools and ability to use them responsibly • Helpful but not required: experience supporting a distributed, multi-country workforce or working with benefits vendors, brokers, salary surveys, equity grant operations, or compensation review cycles
