📋 Description

• Own Senior Manager+ searches from launch through offer at a 6 to 8 week pace where the market allows • Serve as recruitment focal point for senior searches across programs, tech, product, G&A, and fundraising • Build and maintain regional talent pipelines and GiveDirectly's presence with institutions and networks across the African continent • Lead outbound sourcing, map talent pools, build boolean searches, and use LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools • Translate vague profiles into effective searches and recommend profile or approach changes • Build diverse candidate slates • Run recruiter-led searches with senior hiring managers, including up to the C-suite • Lead launch calls and syncs, manage timelines, challenge assumptions, and maintain process quality • Maintain Greenhouse pipelines, review funnels, track candidate progress, and use pipeline data to diagnose stalled searches • Own the candidate experience through offer acceptance, including candidate engagement, mission selling, compensation, logistics, and closing • Peer-coach junior recruiters and develop shared recruiting practices • Build and roll out consistent search and outbound sourcing processes • Apply French and/or Portuguese to otherwise inaccessible searches • Report market insights to the Director, TA and take on selected talent acquisition projects

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience recruiting for tech-forward INGOs, or in a mission-driven scale-up or startup • Deep proactive-sourcing experience for senior roles, including building pipelines from scratch through outbound sourcing • Experience recruiting senior talent across multiple functions, including technical or professional roles and programs or field leadership • Recent experience recruiting in sub-Saharan Africa • Track record owning searches end to end and partnering strategically with hiring managers • Strong process hygiene and a data-driven approach, including tracking conversion and time-in-stage • Comfort operating in ambiguity and thin markets • Strong candidate-closing instincts • Based on the African continent strongly preferred • Professional French and/or Portuguese language skills strongly preferred • Fluency with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI-assisted sourcing tools strongly preferred • Successful completion of safeguarding and pre-hire screening may include reference, criminal background, and sanctions checks
