📋 Description

• Design and develop reliable, observable, and easy-to-operate backend microservices and data pipelines • Own the entire CI/CD lifecycle: develop, test, deploy, and monitor your own code • Take ownership of the production environment • Contribute to the migration to AWS by developing and operating services on AWS and migrating existing pipelines • Use AI agents to generate and evolve code • Conduct code reviews of code developed by people and generated by AI • Participate in architecture and trade-off decisions, identifying risks and alternatives • Lead end-to-end activities with support from the Tech Lead and Tech Manager • Help raise the team’s technical standards • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and pair programming sessions

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in backend engineering in production environments, designing, developing, and operating microservices at scale • Solid DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD, containerization, observability, and current industry-standard operational practices • Hands-on experience with AWS, developing and operating services in production • Hands-on experience with AI tools for software development, directing AI agents and reviewing, correcting, and strengthening generated code • Senior-level ability to take end-to-end ownership, from solution design through production deployment • Proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and work closely with the team • Experience with functional programming, particularly Clojure, is a plus • Knowledge of JVM languages, especially Java, is valued • Experience with event-processing and messaging systems, such as Kafka or similar technologies, and high-volume data pipelines is a plus • English proficiency is a plus; fluency is not required • Experience migrating workloads between cloud providers, such as GCP → AWS, is a plus
