⢠Work closely with the Director of the West Africa Observatory to plan, implement, and track team work ⢠Support timely, efficient, and effective implementation of assigned projects ⢠Manage invoices and supplier and consultant payments ⢠Ensure procurement documentation complies with GI-TOC policies and procedures ⢠Manage project budgets and financial forecasts and allocate resources appropriately ⢠Coordinate team input for project narrative reporting ⢠Arrange virtual and in-person project meetings and events ⢠Organize travel for staff, consultants, and external contributors in accordance with GI-TOC travel policy ⢠Support team strategy development through functional data analysis and recommendations ⢠Liaise between team members and grant liaisons to support project delivery and audit compliance ⢠Identify and evaluate funding opportunities and support proposals, concept notes, extensions, and renewals ⢠Support GI-TOC initiatives, conferences, events, and other engagements ⢠Train new team members on functional processes and reporting tools ⢠Provide project management and donor-reporting training and mentorship to affiliated local civil society organizations
⢠Degree in business administration or project management preferred ⢠5+ years of professional experience in administration or project management ⢠Advanced budget management and financial forecasting skills ⢠Fluent in English and French ⢠Proficiency with Microsoft software, especially MS Word and MS Excel ⢠Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team ⢠Accuracy and attention to detail ⢠Strong organizational and problem-solving skills ⢠Proactive ability to think ahead ⢠Motivation and enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment
