📋 Description

• Responsible for managing a portfolio of states and the managers who run them. • Direct P&L ownership of one or more complex states and may be responsible for launching a new state. • Provides expert-level product and regulatory knowledge, coaches managers on market knowledge, product judgment, and filing approach. • Tackle cross-functional, multi-state problems with high ambiguity. • Anticipate downstream impacts and resolve issues that require coordination across business units. • Set direction and ensures consistency in product strategy across states. • Influence prioritization of state and countrywide insurance product initiatives, plan resource allocation and inform financial planning through strong business cases. • Shape decisions at senior levels by delivering strategic insights and product direction.

🎯 Requirements

• Substantial knowledge of the personal auto insurance product, including coverage, underwriting, operations, pricing and the insurance regulatory system • Experience developing and implementing new, creative and effective solutions to highly complex business issues • Experience managing relationships with upper management and with technical roles • Proven track record managing insurance product performance, including one or more complex states • Experience managing, mentoring and developing people • Ability to utilize quantitative approaches to generate sound business analyses with detail orientation. Identify results out of the norm, draw conclusions and articulate findings • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), cross-collaboration and team skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes • Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives • Strong ability to lead, organize, and supervise • **Work Experience** • 5-7 years Related professional experience with analysis and/or managing insurance performance including product management, actuarial, underwriting required • 5-7 years Leading direct reports or matrixed project teams required • **Education** • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required • **Licenses and Certifications** • Certifications such as FCAS/ACAS or CPCU are a plus
