📋 Description

• Run day-to-day engineering delivery while the CTO focuses on architecture and product direction • Spend roughly half the time coding and half running the team • Own sprint planning, prioritization against business goals, estimates, and daily team unblocking • Build code review culture, test discipline, and production reliability for ingestion pipelines and scheduled jobs • Conduct 1:1s, onboarding, growth conversations, and first-round hiring screens • Ship meaningful features personally, especially early on • Work with the CTO as a technical partner on delivery and execution • Ship features across the API, worker, and frontend • Help ensure roadmap items ship predictably and improve team clarity and quality

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years as a software engineer, with 2+ years leading a team of 3-8 while still shipping code • Deep TypeScript/Node.js experience; ability to review a NestJS service or React data grid and provide substantive feedback • Experience with data-heavy systems: high-volume ingestion, background job orchestration, or warehouse/analytics pipelines • Experience with delivery planning, scoping, prioritization, and making trade-offs • Comfortable being the #2 technical voice; able to challenge the CTO privately and align publicly • Nice to have: Temporal or similar tools such as Airflow or Step Functions in production • Nice to have: Amazon marketplace ecosystem experience, including SP-API, Ads API, or seller tools • Nice to have: E-commerce, ad-tech, or analytics product background • Nice to have: experience introducing lightweight process to a team that previously had little
